Impressive VR-presentations – anytime and anywhere!

Schneider Digitals smart VR-Wall is a compact and powerful VR-Wall with a viewable image size of 5.30 x 2.25 m  and a panel thickness of only 64 cm. Thereby a large scale, yet high resolution display of your 3D data is possible in just about any location. The smart VR-Wall is simple and versatile to use, and unlike other power walls does not require expensive cluster solutions or corrections or software adoption for warping, blending and color.


Brilliantly clear and precise – even from close range

Whether with front or rear projection, the fi rst-class stereoscopic image quality makes each 3D demonstration an experience worth looking at. At present, we are already realizing up to 6.8 megapixels.
Stereoscopic image data is displayed with the same full resolution throughout. The stereo eff ect is achieved by page fl ipping and shutter viewers.


Up to 12 input sources can be connected simultaneously

The unit of the smart VR-Wall off ers up to 12 video input ports for VGA, HDMI, Display Port and DVI dual-link signals.This means that all users can view their familiar software applications on the screen of the smart VR-Wall as usual – just visually more impressively. Unlike conventional powerwalls and VR caves, the smart VR Wall does not require any building alterations to be done when it is set up. Simply put it where you need it – any office room with the standard ceiling height of 2.5m or more will do.

The smart VR Wall has a modular construction, to make it easy to transport and quick to assemble. This makes it ideal for mobile stereoscopic presentations, whether at trade fairs or other events, or even to take directly to your customers for on-the-spot demonstrations on their premises.


3DInsight Pixel Processor – six images become one

The visualization technology of the smart VR-Wall is based on a development by our technology partner, 3D-Insight GmbH. Technically, the image shown by the smart VR-Wall is composed of slightly overlapping, individual segments, projected onto the screen by four or even six LightEngines. Thanks to the 3D Insight pixel processing technology integrated into the smart VR-Wall, this segmentation remains completely hidden from the viewer.

This pixel processing technology also allows for the smart VR-Wall to be handled like a regular high resolution monitor!


Pixel-precision calibration in only five minutes

After each reassembly and from time to time in the course of normal operation, the LightEngines will need to be recalibrated. While this process was and had to be done manually and time consuming by a VR specialist,  it can now be done by the user himself – in approximately five minutes of time!

The necessary calibration data is obtained at pixel level with the aid of an automated photographic process. The result of the recalibration is a homogeneous, distortion free and intricately detailed picture.


No data conversion necessary

Schneider Digital’s smart VR-Wall supports all common stereo formats, such as Quad Buffer and Side-by-Side. In addition, the product does not require the usual conversion of external data, making cluster solutions unnecessary, thus they may still be used to improve performance if desired. It is precisely this simplicity of use that makes the smart VR-Wall so accessible thus increasing the readiness of your employees to work with it!


Media controller included – remote control via optional wireless touch pad!

The media controller functions of the 3D insight pixel processor are further enhanced by the interaction with the optional touch pad. Typical scenarios such as split-screen or picture-in-picture allow input signals to be processed user defined, thus resulting in a multivalent use of the smart VR-Wall, for example in conference rooms.

The screen can be split variably to allow two separate project teams to work on different stereoscopic data at the same time. Each user is able to use his or her own 3D data from their individual PCs.

Thanks to the PIP function of the smart VR-Wall, extraneous 2D signal, such as an Excel spreadsheet for example, can be displayed anywhere on the screen. The 2D data can be clearly read by all viewers, with or without shutter glasses. The picture-in-picture function of the smart VR-Wall by Schneider Digital can even be used in the split-screen mode – one for each team!
